C Note 91

ABOUT C NOTE 91
- Craig McAlister is popularly known as C note 91., was born in Durban on the 11th of June 1991.
- His love for music and instruments started when he was 9 years old, he played drums and the piano in church.
- As a child he wanted to become an astronaut that didn’t work out. He then studied Civil Engineering. “I went into the field of engineering for 10 years, only to realize my undying passion for music. And that’s what I’ve just started now”.
- He started his career in July 2022.
- I love R&B. R&B is my passion. I can do hip-hop, if I want to. My latest release is called “Wasting Time”. That song is basically about relationships but relationships , where someone is giving you probably 10% of themselves where you’re giving more and then it’s all about my songs, are all basically about self-love and, and knowing your worth. So it’s about you understanding what’s your work in a relationship and you’re someone’s wasting your time you need to check on and carry on.
- Artists that inspire him are Usher, Chris Brown and Craig David.
- What made you become an artist, That’s a deep question for an answer because it’s one of those things that always bothered me that if I didn’t do it, I’ll be living a life outside of my purpose. Sometimes you do things, thinking that it’s just nothing but to someone else. They think it’s everything. So you get through Yeah, from people’s point of view. That what you do is something that comes only as a gift. Others wish that they could aspire to have. And so I had to take that seriously. Try it out and I’m really enjoying it. I have this fire within me in music to try and to the great the crates of it.
- His hobbies are, Soccer? Love football
- What is about music that make you feel passionate, It’s got a lot of feelings. Music brings memories. It’s like it’s like a canvas. But for the years it’s it brings a lot of emotions and feelings, it creates atmospheres, it creates moods that create moods to change, it can change from one mode to another. It brings messages across easier rather than just speaking. It taps into as a spiritual thing I think it taps into your soul. It moves your spirit. That’s why I love music so much
- Creative process of writing a song, That’s really interesting. But sometimes I would first write down let’s say, let’s say a sudden melody you open an instrument like a keyboard or something that comes to my mind. Then once that’s done, I would have some sort of idea of what the song would be about. Once I get the idea of what the song should be about I will write whatever comes to mind about that song in informs of paragraphs. Then once that’s done, then I will take from there it’s not drafting versus choruses. And then from there, that’s when I’ll just tighten it up.
- People he would like to collaborate with are, I like Michael Jones I think she’s from Cape Town. I’m not mistaken. I also like Nasty C.
